Photographer Comment: There's a long story behind this one. This is a harp seal in rehabilitation by the organization in the caption. It liked to float on its back in its hospital tank. Nobody'd ever seen a seal do this. The irony of a spa came to mind. A spa in my area runs ads in newspapers with a human with these heated(?) zen(?) rocks on her back. I found a rounded stone on the beach. Shot it with two Canon 580 EX II flashes and Canon 100 mm f/2.8 macro and a 40D. Then resized, re-angled, added drop shadow, and raised opacity for the parts presumably below the water line. Also had to blue up the water. All in CS3. .
