Photographer Comment: For the Digital Darkroom, 2nd sub. Mums were shot in my front yard yesterday before shooting Sat Aft Stroll Below. Small coat of ice / snow, bg is snow on the ground. Orig version is in my BV. This has had several things done, 1) Duplicate layer with Lucis Wyeth filter of 20 applied. 2) Small surface blur then masked to bring back some element of softness, blend set at screen 3)Curves adj layer to boost the darks with blend set at overlay and masked, 4) Saturation adj layer 5) A 2nd curves adj layer to boost the overall contrast and masked, blend mode at overlay. Finally a little selective burning and dodging. Forgive the title, had a mental block and is all I could come up with. :) Objective was to bring it to almost an absract state, but not quite all the way there if that makes sense. .
