Photographer Comment: This image was shot atop Independence Pass, CO, not more than 20 steps from the parking lot. I think one of the most important things people forget about shooting wildflowers is their size, these blooms are short, to really show the their beauty, yet not lose any emphasis on the overall grandure of the environment around them, get down on their level. Image shot with Canon EOS 30D, 10-22mm EF, at 10mm. ISO 100, 1/50sec@f/16..
