Maybe should have done it even shallower...?

I think the DOF is good. It's too bad the shade didn't extend towards the camera just a little bit farther, but otherwise, I like it! (I'm super new at all this stuff, btw).

Nice picture! I myself would have tried to chenge the aperture even more to blur the tree, but I think that's just my liking.
