This was a scenic for the assignment that placed emphasis on post-processing.  Below are enhancement steps taken to get the photo to represent my visualization:
1.  Lighten the three major rocks to give them more emphasis.
2.  Darken the ice in the bottom right foreground. It was considerable lighter than the rocks and got too much attention.
3.  Increase the contrast of the rocks under the ice in the right foreground to make for more visual interest.  This also brought out the ripples on the ice.
4.  Increase the contrast in the sky which was washed out.
5.  Lighten and slightly saturate the pine trees near the boat house to make them more than just a silhouette and to add a little warmth to the view.
6.  Saturate the brush along the shores near the boathouse to bring out then reddish color.
7.  Apply Content Aware Fill to remove several sticks and yellow straw from on rocks.
8.  Increase contrast of the thick clear ice that borders the base of the rocks to give more visual interest.

The ultimate goal was to invite the viewer to wander from the rocks in the foreground to the boathouses in the middleground across the lake to the distant shore ... and to provide visual interest along the way.

Nice work.  I'd say you've achieved your goal of drawing the viewer in for a walk up your photo.
