Chapter 1 Assignment - capture an authentic expression

It was new years eve and we decided to go skating on the outdoor rink.  It was snowing lightly but very chilly.  It was so cold that he tucked his chin inside his jacket to keep warm.  I took the picture and thought it might fit for this assignment.  please let me know what you think.

I think you've managed to capture a great moment Carole. You can really see some deep thought in his eyes.

Two things for me -  the photo appears to be a touch under exposed. If you have any post processing tools I'd suggest increasing the exposure or at least the brightness up a little. Secondly, I'd be inclined to crop off the black shoulder that's in view to the left of the photo.
