Seeing the Light Revisited

Well, some time has passed since I've read this book - a few weeks or so and I think I've progressed a little.  Just wanted to share this photo as an example of some unique light that I found one day while I was spending some time with my daughter.

I love this shot - the silhouette, the reflection the sepia tones (which I assume are natural - not photoshop??)  I really enjoyed this chapter and the different ways of using light, I can't wait to explore more and I'm really glad you've done the same - this is a beautifully captured image - well done.

Yes - this shot is natural with just some tweaks in Lightroom adjusting the brightnes a little bit.  the sepia tones are from the sun almost setting and hitting the sand to give a really warm look.  The tide at the beach was low leaving pools of water across the beach which at the right angle was causing the reflections in the shot along with  some long shadows. 

My daughter was busy finding pieces of jelly fish and wasn't interested in posing at all but I did manage to ask her to move to where the light was most interesting for this shot.
