The focus and DOF are spot on. What struck me is how sharp the upper dome looks against the sky. The repeating pattern of the domes add interest to the image.

There's something about the lower third with the corner of the building that takes away from the rest of the composition. I think some of that could be cropped out and it would give more focus the the domes, which I think are the most important part of the subject.

Judging solely on exposure though I think it's just about perfect.

I appreciate your suggestions.
I've cropped the picture some more just to see what it would look like.
Here's the result.

I think you could ask a thousand different people to compose an image and you would get 1000 different compositions! This is more what I pictured the scene looking like:

Or if you want more of the sky I could see something like this:

Again,  thanks for the re-cropping.  It caused me to play some more with the picture.
I've done one more because I like the three significant shaping elements - the two planes of the building meeting at the point, the roundness of the two domes and finally, the slanting of the diagonal from Left down to Right.

I really like the composition in your recrop, I think you've nailed it!

Thanks for the tip on that Flickr group. It sounds like something I'd be very intereted in and I will definitely look for it.

You two have a great dialog going on.  I read through it and agree totally.  I like how you recropped it in both landscape and portrait views.  The sky is very rich with blue, but it's really not the focus and not adding that much to the subject.  With it a little bit more cropped out, you can focus on the architecture more.
