This assignment is a great beginning exercise meant to loosen up your shooting techniques. Choose an object at least as large as a car. You should be able to walk around the entire object. Now shoot a minimum of 30 images of this object. Get down low, hold your camera up high, move in close, back up, change lenses, and play with investigating this object in as many different ways possible, including shooting it at different times of the day. The purpose of this assignment is to get you moving in directions you would not normally seek out. Work on making each image different and unique. Push yourself to really look for different views. Don’t forget to change the orientation of the camera from vertical to horizontal and in between. Shoot in a way you’ve never shot before. Have fun and surprise yourself!

We suggest you pose your assignments as replies to this post to keep things better organized.

The next assignment will be posted February 2, 2011.

Out on a Sunday afternoon walk in gloomy weather, I couldn't resist the shiny tubes and bright colours of this deserted playground frame.

Thanks Jim.  Don't know how the permissions were changed  Huh, but they are back to public again.
