I STARTED trying macro with my point & shoot. and got so hooked I started trying with my other camera

Jflash - the image seems a little flat. Don't know what post processing you are using or from what type camera you shot this with.
Maybe a tweating using Leverls or Curve will make this image pop. Excellent DoF control. I like the "Bug" also.

[/quote]I dont usually do any post editing but Digital Photo Pro may help I,ll let you know.

Roll Eyes  DPP is an excellent S/W package and it is free....  Shocked Also look before you snap....! You your eyes, which sometime will fool you, and also your feet, to walk around before you snap to maybe snap from a different PoV. For BW, shoot in colour, and convert to BW. It's been discussed many times the pro and con of setting the camera to BW and using the pic. I've come to the conclusion shooting in colour works best for and than do the conversion. I do not use the grayscale feature. There are various post processions out there on the Web. Try them all using the same image to see which you like. The Lab processing works great.
