I think you may be right. I am not very good at arranging candies so I was trying to compensate for that with photoshop to make one stand out.

I for what its worth like the first photo best. The second, imo makes the candy look spoiled. The colors just look right to me.

I was photographing close-ups of liatris that was being heavily worked by honey bees when one landed on the stalk I was set to shoot. I quickly recomposed and captured the attached photo.
Any comments or suggestions are welcome. |

I believe the photos are of swamp buttercups. My experience with them is that without a polarizing filter, the leaves tend to produce glare.
You must have had fun shoshing through the water while trying to keep your equipment dry. John |

This photo was of my crazy niece..She wouldn't leave the house to have her picture taken until her friend said she wanted to go too. After that the giggling started and getting them to stay still was a mute point. Shot with a Canon 50d, 50mm1.4 lens at dusk f1.8 @ 1/250

This is third and final picture for this assignment. All three were taken with natural light, for this one I used a book to block some of the reflection on the glass. It's a photo of left front light of the car.
Canon EOS 7D Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5- 4.6 IS at 18 mm with 3 close-up filters stacked together. ISO 100, f/8.0 1/20 sec. And finally edited in Photoshop CS5. |

Great shot. I think the BW version could do with a bit more contrast and part of the flower, the top part seems to have been overexposed. But it's a great shot.

I did my dad's Toyota Corolla 3 times and this one's from today's shoot. This is the left hand side indicator. It was a pain in the butt as there wasn't much space on either side of the car, and focusing was a real problem, plus the fact that it's summer and very hot outside. As the assignment was about lighting, I tried to use white A4 paper as reflector, since the car was parked in the shade and I didn't really notice any difference.
Camera Canon 7D, Lens Canon EF-S 55-250 f/4.5-5.6 IS at 116 mm. Exposure: ISO 100, F/8.0, 10 Sec, using release White Balance: Shade Finally edited in Photoshop. |
