Title: Chapter 1 Assignment 1 Colour Candies
Post by: GladUAsked on July 01, 2012, 11:17:29 AM
Hi
I recently purchased the book and I'm still on chapter one. Here's my first attempts at assignment 1 Chapter One: Candies. I'd would appreciate any feedback. Thanks

The second one I attached today is similar, but I have edited it in Photoshop CS5: added a black and white layer with selective colour and lowered the opacity.
Both photos were taken with three close-up filters stacked together.
Exposure reading for the second one:
ISO 100, f/4.5, 0.8 sec

I for what its worth like the first photo best.  The second, imo makes the candy look spoiled.  The colors just look right to me.

I think you may be right. I am not very good at arranging candies so I was trying to compensate for that with photoshop to make one stand out.
