Title: Assignment 11 - Working with Shadow
Post by: InspiringFotos on April 16, 2012, 10:25:46 AM
Another trip to work on my photography skills, this time San Diego for Composition. This is a photo taken on the balcony of shadows coming from the rail and the frosted glass table. I took this photo, because I liked how the sun was shining through the glass tab casting a shadow that was not solid like the rail shadow was.

What I like about this picture is the nice contrast between different shapes and different contrast that the shadows creates on the floor. Circles and squares, soft and harsh. Nice!
A personal thought: What would happen if You tried to focus more on the pure shapes in the frame? Perhaps to a degree that the observer becomes curious of how the wonderful shapes and lines emerged? Seeking the abstract in the scene, in other words?

Best regards
/Peter

Thanks for the suggestion about seeking an abstract scene. I will try that next time.
