Title: Chapter 2 -- Seeing Nature
Post by: ganagr1 on April 08, 2012, 05:08:42 PM
I spent some time walking through a wooded meadow taking in the sights, sounds, and scents that Spring had to offer this day.  I focused on this lovely carpet of petite, yellow-jeweled flowers (unidentified) with their wonderfully glossy foliage.

Love the 1st picture of these flowers next to the water. Does this plant grow in the water like a water lily. Beautiful nature shot.

Hi Judy.....
I'm not familiar with this species of flower, and even though they don't grow in water (I think), they do thrive in cool, damp soil right up to the edge of the water.

I believe the photos are of swamp buttercups.  My experience with them is that without a polarizing filter, the leaves tend to produce glare.

You must have had fun shoshing through the water while trying to keep your equipment dry.
