Title: Chapter 7 Assignment: Botanical Close-Ups Post by: ganagr1 on April 06, 2012, 09:01:27 AM Alright.....let's all try posting again!!!
With Spring approaching in the northern climate of Wisconsin, I couldn't help resist capturing one of nature's harbingers of spring. This cute perennial flower--Leopard's bane 'Little Leo' (Doronicum caucasicum) posed for the camera on a cool, but sunny morning. I took a series of images following the techniques as specified in the assignment (p. 193). Using a black velvet background, manual focus on my close-up lens, tripod, and a wind barrier to keep everything still, I shot several photos of the clump of flowers, then moved in to focus on one subject, shadowed by another.
