Title: Assignment 1, Chapter 1
Post by: Henriette on February 22, 2012, 02:54:31 PM
Both images were taken with average exposure (evaluated) metering.  No manipulation except for noise reduction and sharpening were done.  The backyard image was taken early morning and the birdhouse/backyard image was taken in the middle of day.  In the backyard (first image) the sky was blown out and the trees and dirt area were a bit underexposed.  It seems that the lighting on the patio and boardwalk were ok.  I'm so used to manual and aperture (for birds) that this was a reminder that the average exposure is not always the best choice.

In the birdhouse image there was a spot of light on the retaining wall ledge that was blown out as well as the sky area.
