Title: Assignment 6 - Burst of Color
Post by: InspiringFotos on January 20, 2012, 06:55:48 PM
I was practicing my composition skills and took this picture of a hot air balloon passing over the house. What was missing out of this picture was no clouds, just a clear blue sky directly above me, though I did think the hot air balloon was colorful.

Honestly, I think clouds would detract from that capture.  The deep blue sky helps to contract the vividness of the black balloon and its colours.  About the only thing I would suggest would have been to apply a bit more negative space on the left or right using the rule of thirds.  I'm not sure how it would have looked but might have given the balloon a sense of left or right motion as well as up and down.

Thanks for the advise. Next time I get the chance to take a picture of a hot air balloon I will try to apply a little more negative space as you suggested. Thanks again.
