Title: Chapter 4 -- Manipulating (bouncing) the Light Post by: ganagr1 on January 15, 2012, 09:14:16 PM Instead of direct (head-on) flash, I bounced my flash upward onto a white card to even the lighting on little Noah. I think that it also helped that the ceiling and the side walls are painted white, along with the white bedspread helping to reflect light indirectly onto the child.
In the second photo, I bounced the flash directly unto the white wall to the left of the child, as evidenced by the shadow on the bedspred to the right of the child. I think that second one works well, although with Noah facing away from the wall, his eyes don't quite catch the light.
I think with your first shot it seems a little under exposed. It might be because of the distance of the roof - the flash might have needed to be turned up a bit more. |
