Title: Hello from Wisconsin! Post by: Sarah on December 27, 2010, 11:44:33 AM It looks like this board is pretty slow, but I hope it picks up soon.
I'm Sarah and I just got the book "Photographing Children" for Christmas. I have a 2 month old baby boy, and I want to get good photos of him if I can. My equipment so far includes a Canon 40D with a kit lens, a 50mm 1.8 lens, a Lightscoop, and a tripod. Pretty basic. I'm looking for feedback and instruction, and I can handle criticism. I hope to learn lots from all of you! Title: Re: Hello from Wisconsin! Post by: StearnsJD on January 20, 2011, 03:31:34 AM ::) Not to fear.... New site with some learning curves. You will have fun here. Here is a email I got from Photoworkshop.com forum;
You have just been sent a personal message by PWS-Staff on Photoworkshop Forum. IMPORTANT: Remember, this is just a notification. Please do not reply to this email. The message they sent you was: Take a picture of someone or something near a window in diffused light without your flash. You want your subject to be well-exposed, although that might mean having dark areas in the room. Diffused light gives a soft light to the subject. You might also need to adjust your white balance as diffused light can give off a blue or greenish hue to your images. --from Chris Bucher's PHOTOWORKSHOP.COM Book Series, "Lighting."
