Title: Nature Photography - Assignment 6
Post by: Photo-GRAPHICS on January 06, 2012, 11:34:29 PM
I have skipped assignment 5 for the moment.  I did three shots of Botanical Close-Ups instead.  The first picture was a part of a flower arrangement on my front porch.  I had to use a very shallow depth of field to remove distracting background and photoshop to further darken the background so that the flower gets the primary attention.

In the second picture, the background was not so interesting (I always like Lupine fields in Oregon but this NH scene was not very nice) so I focused in close to show just one flower.  In this case the shapes of the green leaves provide some interest to the "negative" space.

The third shot is indicative of much of my photography.  It was taken from my yard.  Even a weed can be a good subject.  Especially if it happens to have a visitor to add interest.

Lovely captures with good DoF.  The first is my favourite.  I think the third shot would be better off without the bug.
