here ar some shots i took today.  details are:

for all - Canon 7d; 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6; handheld w/IS turned off

image 27: f/5.0 1/80 ISO 100.
image 30: f/5.0 1/100 ISO 100.
image 37: f/5.6 1/124 +1.33 ISO 1600

all shots made with available light (flash turned off) otherwise automatic exposure/focus.  wasn't going for any particular composition, just shooting in automatic mode per assignment requirement.  comments welcomed!

For me your second image is the favourite.  The colours are great although it's a shame the railway crossing cast such a large shadow across the carriage.

I think your first shot is a bit over exposed to the rear of the carriage although given the nature of the assignment that's hard to get away from.

The main thing I noticed about your last photo is that it's not quite level - the lines aren't horizontal.  You may want to consider rotating a little.
