Title: Creating a Mood with Window Light Post by: InspiringFotos on October 25, 2011, 01:03:40 PM Most the time when I take pictures by windows I get over exposure or reflections off the window. In this assignment I took about 12 pictures of these daisies in a vase. I tried various types of lighting from the window by adjusting the blinds in different directions (i.e. left, right, open, close). My best shot of the daisies in the vase was with direct lighting from the left window. This picture was taken with my Kodak Z712 IS Zoom Digital f/3.6, 1/10 sec., ISO-400, 26 mm. What type of mood do you get from this direct window lighting?

I did find though that looking at whatever the vase was sitting on seemed to be a bit out of place relative to the rest of the picture.

This way I could practice different light from each window and different directions. Since there was no table in that room I used a bar stool instead.
