Title: Chapter 2 Assignment - ISO
Post by: goldcoastgolfer on October 22, 2011, 04:27:22 AM
My wife is in the midst of starting a candle business so I thought I'd take a shot at one of her speSPAM SPAM SPAMt mosaic candles.  Previously when I've tried with a flash the candle flame itself would be wiped out from the picture.

I finally received my new D7000 along with a new lens - a Sigma 17-70mm 2.8-4 lens.  It allowed me to have the ISO set to 3200 which not allowed me to capture the flame in a darkish room, but the colours of the mosaic candle holder as well.  I had to increase the exposure bias I was after as well due to the candle flame's impact.  Details of the photo below:

F Number: f/2.8
Exposure Time: 1/50
Focal Length: 17mm (25mm in 35mm)
ISO: 3200
Metering Mode: Matrix
Exposure Bias: 2/3
