Title: 2nd Assignment Post by: Lee on October 05, 2011, 08:03:12 PM My subject was a massive cottonwood tree standing at the union of a river and lake. I thought that the water would be a perfect background. I thought the sunlight would help the scene. Wrong.
After reviewing my images I was glad I took a picture from this angle. This image seemed to me project the strength of time and nature. Title: Re: 2nd Assignment Post by: goldcoastgolfer on October 29, 2011, 01:13:38 PM My eyes are immediately drawn to the base of the trunk in the bottom left third of the image - I think it's the light contrasted by the shadows. It grabs me and entices me keep looking up the tree where the contrast of light and dark branches and the bursts of colour from the leaves contrasted against the sky I think are really appealing to hold your attention.
It's a complex and simple image at the same time I think. What did settings did you take the photo on? Title: Re: 2nd Assignment Post by: Lee on November 03, 2011, 09:11:12 PM Goldcoastgolfer, thanks for the feedback.
