First, talk to your subject and come up with a spot that makes senses -- that will tell your viewer something about your subject without using words. I took a road trip this past weekend to a wildlife park. On my journy I came across this park employee that was educating a group of people about cobra snakes. Now even though I am not a big fan of snakes, I still like getting photos of them time to time. No adjustments where made to the photo. Yes, a telephoto lens is a must when I am photographing those snakes.
