By maureenyoung52 (2007-09-26 07:22:24 ): Very nice love the comp, POV and DOF, love the B&W also.

By johnwillems (2007-09-26 02:44:04 ): Beautifull Image. Soft, friendly & B&W is well choosen. A family-picture but a Great. I like it a lot, not only for the good photography here, but i'am also grandfather. From John Willems.

I considered removing the "stick" to the left (think this was a newly planted tree in the park), but thought the picnic bench added some depth as a possible "destination" - but I just now made another version without the bench and "stick" and it actually does look much nicer. Thanks again!!! Mike

By smokeydawg (2007-09-26 02:31:59 ): I really like this too, nice tonal range and bw is a good choice for this. Also love the way he is looking at the little one. Great story. It could definately be considered the little one showing the big one, they can teach you how to "see" if you watch them close enough and are open minded when they are this age, so agree with Kathleen on that one also. Great comp also. My only nit pick is the bench which I could live with and the other little "stick?" just to the left of the adults arm. Both could be easily removed with cloning and or healing brush in ps. Nice image and story.

To me it says, there is so much to learn out there. I especially like the way he is looking down at the child. In our stressed a mixed up world I see this differently than some may - I think the little guy is showing the way to the big guy - reminding him how simple and life can be....Very nice Image.
