By smokeydawg (2007-09-07 14:05:20 ): Trying something new here, not looking at other critiques until after my comment, so if I say the same thing as others, sorry. I really like the comp with the water and the tilt of the boat, nice straight horizon also. Good job with the ratio of water to sky. The dinghy in the lower right while it's a bit distracting is really something you have no control over, it was there and was part of the scene, not as if you can "pose" these things. It's not that bad and actually helps to form a triangle with the boat, the top of the sail and the dinghy. You could try cloning it out if it bothers you, but if it doesn't bother you, I wouldn't worry about it. It's also something you do see when out boating so it kind of fits the scene, plus like I say the triangle thing. jmo
By joedlh (2007-09-07 13:46:08 ): I agree. It was not a situation where I could shout over to the skipper, "Would you please cut lose your dinghy so I can get a shot?" I didn't think I could easily clone it out because of the complexity of the water.
