Photographer's Comment: Taken last week during a family sitting on location in park. We got her playing games, looking for leafs, etc,.. in this one, just told her to play peak a boo with us by this tree in hopes that her hair would get into that spot of sun that is backlighting her. She had such a cute personality! The pose is all her being her. She is starring at dad who really seems to light up hef face. A Daddys girl. I guess my main question on this is the light and how you think I handled it. I'm working on trying to get more directional light outdoor that yields a more dramatic result then flat shade only lighting. At the same time I'm wanting the poses esp of children, to be mostly natural. And yes I know she is starring out of the frame in this, but trust me, DAD will like. :)

The whole feeling in this images is of the wonders of childhood and the light just enhances that feeling. Excellent technicals as well. I love natural, outdoor light and never use any light modifiers other than those that occur naturally around me.

I can't get the crop tool to work the way I want, but I would also add another version that is cropped tighter from the top of her head including her arm and hand and placing her face in the upper right and including as much of the tree as needed to get the scale you need. I might add enough space around her to add a vignetting effect around the edge. Again this is a wonderful image and you did a great job bring out her personallity and making the most of the available light.
