Photographer's Comment: Yesterday, I was present on a local celebration for the working people (Socialists), and the shaping of a new government in Belgium was the "thème",… There was also spoken concerning the international policy: and president Bush is apparently the favourite of the European Socialists,… (ordinary) People in Belgium experience Bush as THE (our) (body)guard of “freedom”,… Not bad,… “President Bush”: Welcome on the PhotoWorkShop,... and thanks for Your invitation in Your White House. Fine Regards from John Willems..

By johnwillems (2007-08-19 22:35:13 ): Dear Maureenyoung52, I want absolute no an political discussion on this forum, the critique on my photograph is more important. But it can nevertheless be said: the USA and Europe, Great Brit., PERHAPS soon also Russia, we must be are friends. Together we are strong for the world peace. Together we are strong for a "safe world". Without each, we are nothing. That is my personal message. Without Bush or with Bush!!!
By johnwillems (2007-08-19 21:42:03 ): PERFECTLY. That's indeed the intention of this photograph.

By maureenyoung52 (2007-08-18 21:14:38 ): I have a good idea! How about George Bush going over to your country and being your president for a while and we will see how much the working people like him.
By Jim915 (2007-08-18 16:19:51 ): LOL. I hadn't thought of that possibility Jan
By Jim915 (2007-08-18 16:19:11 ): John I like this. Your use of graphics and color create an effective image that catches the viewer's interest and invites an exploration of its contents.

By Isachsen (2007-08-18 13:10:41 ): Coming back to this image again, I find these kind of images fascinating because more and more pictures at today's market are sold and used for the web only - to be viewed on a monitor. That is why I like so much what you are doing here John, the technique or blending of elements on a screen - photographs that are so perfectly in step with the times we live in.
By DougWilkening (2007-08-18 11:12:33 ): European Socialists for Bush??? What next?
By Isachsen (2007-08-18 07:03:03 ): As a political statement I think it is very cool. The picture also reminds me of the "unsinkable" Titanic, going down while the band still were playing the same old silly tunes over and over again. We never learn, do we?!
