By johnwillems (2007-08-14 02:27:33 ): Jan, I can give to never such a good explanation concerning photography such as you that do. It is apparently a profession separate, but I learn as lot of your explanation.
By johnwillems (2007-08-14 01:50:13 ): GailV, I'am very happy with Your critique, but these is a range. Some photographs shall be sharper,... on the just moment. Thanks for Your time!! John Willems
By clwhitney (2007-08-13 20:11:02 ): Very nice image. It is a creative environmental portrait showing the man hard at work on his last day.
By smokeydawg (2007-08-11 14:31:11 ): Very nice mood in this!
By johnwillems (2007-08-11 01:50:52 ): Dear Gail, Thanks for your positive critique, and your opinion has been well explained. I do not share however your vision concerning the sharness of these photograph. When the photograph would be very sharply, then I had made a simple photograph of Erwin, without meaning! Now You get you priorities and environment: the "atmohpère".
By Jim915 (2007-08-10 20:51:37 ): John, I like this. The lighting is wonderfully dramatic. The blur gives the feeling of the passing of an event that may fade into the past and never be seen again.
By Isachsen (2007-08-10 17:31:00 ): John, it is like from a film where the camera slowly is panning through the room, or you the photographer floats through the same room and then captures the man at work. The motion blur and shallow dept of field also adds to the good feling here. Yes, I think this is a fine tribute to the working man!
By GailV (2007-08-10 16:21:44 ): I love the title as it suggests a story of great complexity. From the photo I get a sense of the mood and the atmosphere that Erwin had to work in. You have taken a photo in an untraditional place where for a long time photographers didn't go, so I'm glad to see it. I would like, though, to see it in sharper focus at a little closer range so that I could understand more.
By KBittancourt (2007-08-10 11:29:55 ): John, I like this image very much. It shows 'life' as it is. Colors are subdued and support the title quite well. Well done!!
By johnwillems (2007-08-10 03:09:59 ): Thanks for posted Your critique. You understand these "photograph". Fine regards from John.
