Although I do believe that there are two photos here, one red and one pink and gold. They do blend in a strange counterpoint of color and contrast and that garners viewer interest through that tension. Textures, gradients the diagonal bit of stone walkway and the delicious filligree of the gold window really pull my eye to that section, yet the simple, strong graphic lines of the red and black have a strong, strong appeal. Wonderful creation, that really makes the viewer, especially another photographer rethink the boundaries of composition, co-existence of opposites and the merging of different styles that happens haphazardly in something so simple as a walk along a foreign street.
