By dwntwnfem (2007-05-16 18:49:59 ): What I miss is any sense of texture in this, and I think that detracts from it. A bit lighter would probably have solved this problem. I agree about cropping. Setting the image in the center lessens the impact, as the viewer feels drawn into this heavy blackness at the bottom. But I like the concept, and the moodines of it.

By kayt663 (2007-05-15 07:27:43 ): Cropping a good portion of the bottom may help this image. I can see what you were trying to capture. When you meter an image like this, it's best to meter a portion of the sky without the sun, keep those settings and then recompose with your subject, this may have improved the exposure and reduced the digital noise.

By Jim915 (2007-05-14 23:23:29 ): Well, I think this is way too dark. You have a black mass at the bottom and a lot of digital noise in the sky. There is really nothing here to make the viewer want to explore the image.
