By Isachsen (2006-09-18 16:44:30 ): Oh, right down my lane - fantastic. That flip thing is my trick too. It always works, right? This is art!

By TMartin (2006-09-09 11:21:29 ): Thanks Rafel. The image has already been adjusted as far as possible without blowing out the whites on the chair legs. The exposure was right at the point where the highlights stopped blinking on the camera display. I did take it up a little in PS. The area behind was very dark with little light. It has already been saturated and adjusted. The chairs are the subject, the background is just that. Thanks for your input.

By rafael.funes (2006-09-09 10:31:22 ): I like this very much and I feel it might improve a bit by increasing saturation/contrast. Still this is a beautiful image. Congratulations.

By TMartin (2006-09-08 23:21:35 ): Thank you all for taking time to comment. Happy shooting to you all.

By DougWilkening (2006-09-08 21:05:06 ): Very clever! I spent about 30 seconds scratching my head, "how did he do that?" before I figured it out. Duh! I also agree it's a very effective color composition.

By Jim915 (2006-09-08 20:44:50 ): I just saw the David Hockney exhibit at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. That along with the subject style here made me think of Hockney. This is a beautiful and artful image. The color combination and light is fantastic.
