What might otherwise be considered hot spots on the front girl's face and shoulder are actually a plus to me because it reinforces the fact that they are behind glass. I even think that the sliver of sweater on the left works well and should not be cropped out, because it reinforces the reality of the scene. The window is a good framing device compositionally, but you don't want it to become a pure framing device, you want it to still be a real window, which it is here. See, I'm not such an ogre after all!
