By sonoranhawk (2008-06-25 23:26:42 ): This reminds me of the lazy summer days of my childhood, spent at farm ponds and the town reservoir that produced the biggest bass you've ever seen. The elders in the town taught us how to fish, and we used buckets for seats, and hauling the fish home, just like this guy. Great scene, love the black and white and the reflections in the water, and my mind.
By littlepeanut (2008-06-25 11:59:50 ): you should have seen this guy's face. I spoke to him a bit earlier in the day on a different side of the pond. It was all I could do to pull out my camera and snap away. Weathered and toothless -he was so classic looking! I snuck a few pictures of him as I was leaving the park. I still regret not being bolder and asking if I could take his picture as we spoke.
By littlepeanut (2008-06-25 11:55:55 ): thanks for looking and taking the time to comment. ~paget
By djon8 (2008-06-25 04:03:19 ): this has the potentials of being a classic. All the right elements are there: man, clothing, poles, bucket, water bank and tone.
