Photographer's Comment: World Falun Dafa or Falun Gong Day at the Lincoln Memorial. In 1999, China’s top leader cast 100 million citizens as criminals. Fearing the Falun Gong’s widespread popularity was overshadowing his own legacy, Jiang Zemin order the traditional Chinese practice “eradicated.” Shot in off and on rain, over fifty photographers. I got upfront and in the middle. I just walked up and said I’m suppose to be here, a couple of people moved down….I.got in line and nobody complained… :o).
