By jimdstearns (2008-05-02 15:48:24 ): Thanks for the comments Carl. I love this area. The pond is new, about four years old. Nice BlueGill and Channel Cats. Not really fishing it yet. The old pond over the hill to the left is about 70 years old. Can't see that one. We got 7 to 9 lb Bass out of there...put them back in... :o).

By smokeydawg (2008-05-02 13:25:07 ): Nice job Jim, great colors, reflections and comp. I have a thing about red barns anyway and hope to go out wandering around in search of a few in a couple weeks. Lots of them in Iowa. I also like the way you used the pond shore as a lead.

By jimdstearns (2008-05-02 02:46:33 ): Shot with the Cannon G-7. My little S-500 Point and Shot died..the flash so I picked up the G-7. But, as usual..with my luck...the G-9 came out a week later that also shoot RAW, the G-7 does not. So I guess I'm stuck with the G-7.. :o). Oh well, I just convert the jpeg to dng and do my thing.

By jimdstearns (2008-05-02 00:06:07 ): I could do that but I think it would take away from the image.

By HangGlider (2008-05-01 15:18:36 ): Nice colors in this image! Great reflection in the pond too. Can you adjust the reflection in PS to make the colors match the landscape and barn?

By Auryn (2008-05-01 14:13:04 ): I really love all the different textures that are natural in the scene and the colors all enhance and compliment each other and the image as a whole. The reflections are great and I like the point of view and angle of this shot, it allows you to see everything in a nice pleasing way. ~gretchen~
