Photographer's Comment: This photograph was an experiment taken at the zoo. I used a Canon 5d with a 100-400 mm L lens at ISO 1600. The pigeon was behind a very heavy metal mesh so I had to narrow the depth of field to try to eliminate or minimize the cage. The result is a soft image of the subject and a blurred background which was intentional. I corrected the colors and noise from using the ISO setting at 1600 in Photoshop CS2. I think the bird was quite interesting and the colors were vibrant.
