By smokeydawg (2008-04-23 12:54:23 ): Nice macro, good detail where there needs to be, and love the vivid color. If I were to change anything it would only be to tone down the hot spots a teeny bit, but they really dont distract me personally. Nice job Bernard, 100mm 2.8 macro lens?

By gvkohl (2008-04-23 02:12:49 ): The lower left doesn't bother me. The composition is very good and the focus is superb. I think the only thing that maybe bothers me is the hot spots in the tulip. You might darken the lower right a little too.

By Bernard (2008-04-23 01:39:01 ): I'll try "popping" the red and see what happens. The photo was taken with a macro lens, and depth of focus is very limited. You have to decide what part of the photo is most important to focus on and let the remainder of the image go.

By kayt663 (2008-04-22 22:41:17 ): I like the crop and composition of this. Nice lighting. You might want to see what a tweak to the levels would do. I think you might get that red to really pop. The only minus is that yellow OOF petal in the lower left. Unfortunately, any cropping and you would lose the beautiful pistols and stamen.
