Photographer's Comment: This is an image I took just a few days ago during Earth Hour in Toronto, Ontario. I, and as it turns out numerous other photography enthusiasts, traveled to the Toronto Islands to capture the city skyline. When I arrived there I noticed that I was missing the mounting plate for my tripod (you know, the flat piece that attaches to your camera so that you can mount it on the tripod). I had to improvise by placing the barrel of the lens right on the tripod and securing it in place with some velcro - it wasn't perfect (you'll notice some blur in the pic) but it did the trick. Note to self - check your equipment before leaving home.
