Photographer's Comment: My assitant was wanting some shots of his son, so we brought in some friends from his preschool class. :)

I probably would have ended up throwing them all at the wall and shooting that instead! lol Like I said, it's so minor that it doesn't take away from the overall pic. Especially since your eye goes straight to the leader of the pack.
By smokeydawg (2008-03-14 14:34:29 ): Thanks Frank! Appreciate the kind words. LoL, it didn't really start out as a series, but was having fun and it just ended up that way! If I havn't said so yet, Welcome to PWS!
By ffen4 (2008-03-14 13:46:51 ): This a great shot. Very creative. I actually like the whole series. I am looking forward to see how you top this in the next assignment.
Frank

By smokeydawg (2008-03-14 13:28:08 ): Thanks Karen!
By smokeydawg (2008-03-14 13:27:05 ): Thanks Ken, and from what I'm told he is the star pupil. He just has such a happy personality!
By smokeydawg (2008-03-14 13:26:27 ): Thanks Dorothy!
By smokeydawg (2008-03-14 13:25:57 ): Thanks Tanja!
By smokeydawg (2008-03-14 13:25:42 ): Thanks Stephanie, I know the triangle is a little crooked, but well it was kind of like trying to set up dominoes or buildinng a house out of popsicle sticks, finally just went they are all standing, shoot it!
By smokeydawg (2008-03-14 13:24:06 ): Thanks Maureen!
By greg-y (2008-03-12 04:45:30 ): Great shot Carl. Does your assisant do stunts? Lucky his mates aren't pool balls because he might not be smiling as much in this position on the table. Your break aaaaaaaahh.
By Photolas (2008-03-12 02:16:00 ): Same advice for this one as the ones in the carton. Strobes are too hot.
By janith (2008-03-12 02:10:58 ): It'd be great to see that in a self-portrait one of these days :-)
By smokeydawg (2008-03-12 02:03:00 ): Getting them to stay upright was a test in patience. I used little clamps about 1 inch in length behind them, but it was still like trying to line up dominos or trying to make a popsicle stick house. Took several tries at it to get them to stand, then I held my breath and had my tongue hanging out to the right for luck. :)
By wilbs999 (2008-03-12 01:42:08 ): Did they bring their cues? This is very cute. My monitor might need some work though, as i can't see the back line. Stef says mine is screwed up. She's probably right. Maybe she'll calibrate it next time she comes down . . . :) Now, which ball exactly goes in the front? Is it the one? Very creative. Very fun. Techically well done (I can see it if I look from the bottom)
By janith (2008-03-12 01:39:36 ): Great lighting on this, Carl. How did you get the eggs to stay put in close quarters?
By carney (2008-03-11 22:30:39 ): I really like this one, Carl. What a great idea and nicely executed!
By KBittancourt (2008-03-11 21:54:19 ): Fun shot Carl. Nice use of a pool rack! Good shadows and white on white control. Is your assistants son the star pupil? - Ken
By whitewavesPTP (2008-03-11 17:58:44 ): Great series, like them all!
By somagni (2008-03-11 17:05:22 ): This one is my favorite. Great exposure - just enough detail in those white eggs.
By GuitarGodsWife (2008-03-11 15:44:25 ): What a great series this is! They each make their own statement and are light and happy. Might seem silly, but the only thing about this particular one that bothers me a tad is the triangle isn't straight. Maybe a slight rotation and a minor distort in ps could fix it ... but its really very minor and doesn't take away from the creativity and the idea behind it. Great work!
By maureenyoung52 (2008-03-11 14:19:18 ): Very fun concept! Good job!
