By lynnrider (2008-02-12 16:54:39 ): Great capture of Chief's expression here Carl! Looks like you have a lot of the white stuff. I like the creaminess of his fur against the snow - well done.

By smokeydawg (2008-02-12 15:34:47 ): LoL, yea he LOVEs the snow and cold! He was actually blinking and as I told Jim above, think it was the fact the "mine" was getting cold but the title is what first came to mind when seeing this one.

By smokeydawg (2008-02-12 15:33:23 ): He actually LOVES the snow and cold, just got this blink and the title is what I thought of when seeing the "expression" LoL maybe it was the fact mine was getting cold! :o

By Isachsen (2008-02-12 11:13:33 ): No Carl, these chaps are born to live, sleep and eat out in the snow and ice. You certainly captured a funny situation.

By jimdstearns (2008-02-12 09:00:52 ): Nice snap Carl, like the comp. Snow looks like snow. With his bred he is probably very happy with the snow.

By za8et (2008-02-12 08:03:00 ): the cream fur looks rich against the snow- i like this composition and the expression

By maureenyoung52 (2008-02-12 07:12:21 ): Poor doggy! Nice job with exposure, very funny. It was 70 degrees here today. In February I'm glad I live in Las Vegas, not so much in July.

By Jim915 (2008-02-11 21:54:41 ): Carl - I like the composition with your dog angled into the frame. I also like the light. He doesn't appear to be very happy about the snow, however.

By goldridge371 (2008-02-11 16:53:14 ): Hi Smokeydawg--The detail of the dog's fur and the great exposure values in this shot really stand out. You didn't blow out the snow--great!! It might have helped to move the subject just a bit further down into the center to gain more of his whole body responding to the cold....like was his tail up or curled down? Again, great control on the tonal range.

By GuitarGodsWife (2008-02-11 16:26:10 ): Gorgeous dog! And that is a hysterical expression. Great catch!

By orchid (2008-02-11 16:18:53 ): The expression really adds to the sense of chilliness. I also like the composition and the detail in the fur.
