Photographer's Comment: This two color with story is tough, but fun and great brain exercise. I'm a firm believer we will only get as far as we let ourselves in life. Who hasn't in their life told themself, I cant do this or that, thereby limiting ourselves, keeping ourself in our own prison. Things that make you go hmmm. grin This has no ps except for sizing for upload, other then that straight from camera.

I love it when people are able to express their thoughts WITH one single picture. That is why photography for me is so great. Instead of just shooting something because we like what we see in front of us, we can use certain situations or subjects to express our inner felings. That is so powerful. "Straight from the camera", you said. I couldn't do that when I shot slide film - to open the camera and just pull off one image from the flimsy grey plastic strip. The magic for me with digital shooting is the instant straight in your face feedback. Thanks Carl, you left a very strong impression with this photo. What about talking photography (grin)!

I was thinking more in the line of my prison due to the winter weather, but I understand what you are saying, because I had a problem with the assignment too. I did almost succumb to the "I'll skip this one" but then convinced myself that it would not do me any good. "I can't do it" was never part of my vocabulary, it was not allowed at home when I was a kid, and it is not allowed now, where I work. Because I can. Looking at the picture though, I see the "prison" in the window. You've told the story and done it well. When I look at it, I see myself behind the bars, even if I do usually break out. I can't say it's not a fight, sometimes, though. Nice shot. It speaks to me.
