Photographer's Comment: On the moment that I made this photograph it was "sunset". A "light"- storm arrival after a beautiful and "warm" autumn/winter day. The sun break by the clouds and lighted up the landscape, the grasses and the Play Mobile. I have moved now and yes,… I miss the quiet landscape, the ‘Light & Calmness – who tells a story” and the beautiful colours of Van Gogh. Where are my grandchildren to "play-back"?

By karmal (2008-01-17 02:35:28 ): Hi John. As for Jim, this is also one of my favorites pictures. Because of its dramatic symbolism and because it reveals the eyes of a poet. It could be a visual complement to the beautiful question asked, with the naiveté of a child, by the chilean poet Pablo Neruda: "Why do leaves commit suicide when the feel yellow ?" (sorry about my translation). The empty playground, the fallen (suicidal) leaves, the incredible tree with the remaining leaves as a bunch of black birds in its angry branches and the dramatic sky, all together conjure to create a modern Van Goghian (does this word exist ?) landscape.
