Photographer's Comment: I've probably passed by this 4 or 5 times a week for 10 years and never really noticed it until this assignment. This one has a surface blur applied while I was messing around, the original is on my bv.

By Jim915 (2008-01-16 23:26:40 ): Carl - this is OOF! (grin). I like this alot. The patterns throughout the image are just terrific. The white doors are a perfect balance to the dominant orange color and the one being open adds a lot of interest.

By grovester (2008-01-16 16:41:20 ): the blur works well to abstract the image and make it more about the color. I like where you put the staircase.
By somagni (2008-01-16 16:17:18 ): nice shot - funny how we don't see things as we go through life. i like the original better but that's jmo.
By CJGroth (2008-01-16 11:44:33 ): Hi Carl - the architecture and composition of this is grreat. I see there is some type of blur on the whole image and my eye does not have a place to settle. I would prefer the doors and possibly stairs to not have the blur. Or possibly just the open door? Then, to me, it would be fabulous picture.
By Isachsen (2008-01-16 09:20:22 ): Wow, this is so wonderful in all ways - and what a difference the open door makes here. Bravo!
By carkins47 (2008-01-16 04:03:00 ): I do like this one, also. What might have started as an ordinary brick wall with doors and fire escapes has become a work of art. WELL DONE!
By whitewavesPTP (2008-01-16 03:32:50 ): Great composition!!!!

By lynnrider (2008-01-16 02:20:36 ): Carl - I really love this one - the single open door is terrific. It looks a tiny bit out of focus, but I need new glasses so maybe it's me? Lynn
