Natures Embryo

Photographer's Comment: Not your typical baby, and not sure if it goes, but as close to a baby I'm gonna get this week. :) The buds that are formed on the branch are the future for next spring. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it! The white is fresh snow after light flurries the night before. bg is an old oak tree base.

By tbrand3 (2008-01-02 17:01:38 ): I think the technique of this photograph is good, The background is blurred out so it does not compete with subject matter of the foreground. Also hint of the orange in the background is a nice touch. In regards to the composition I like how the branch comes in out of the corner at an angle. But i am wondering if we were just a little bit closer to the view of the end of the branch we could appriecate the detail and texture more. As for originality, pushing the boundaries of the concept of baby is good idea. happy new year to you too.

To me it certainly is a sign of what to come - spring, when nature wakes up again after a long rest. It is amazing, though, that it is able to bounce back year after year and greet us with blossom and so much beauty. But don't think for a minute that nature is doing it for us (grin).
