Photographer's Comment: I love this Photo. The space between the trees was perfect and the bench calls out " come sit here". It just looks so peaceful to me.

By Jim915 (2007-12-31 23:20:16 ): I like the image as well. Your lighting and exposure are very well captured. The snow on the trees add a little magic to the winter scene. I also like the symbolism of the empty bench sitting in the snow. I've suggested a crop to pickup on the rule of thirds. Although not the perfect crop, it eliminates part of the distracting branches from the BG tree and places the dark tree close to a vertical 1/3 line of the frame.

Just nit picking but I feel there is something more you could do with the compositional elements to really make this one an absolute stunner: Check out the rule of thirds. If you place the trees at the intersection of the thirds you would get a stronger image. Also the tree in the background on the left of the image adds nothing at all to the shot -changing the angle from which you took the shot may have provided an opportunity to remove it altogether. Perhaps adding a little more of the snow in the foreground would also intensify the image. As I said I'm just nit-picking, the shot as it stands is good.
