By smokeydawg (2007-11-16 13:38:39 ): Wow, thanks everyone! Appreciate the kind words. I knew what I wanted when I started, but had no idea on how to make this work. I liked the s curve in this little wine bottle and wanted to backlight it, but tried several different things, rim light etc and nothing seemed to be working the way I wanted. Then last night I saw the light coming from the candle, the inside of the candle was pretty shallow making the walls semi luminescant, and the flame low inside. Put the bottle in front and went yea, that's it. Shot on bathroom counter, using the counter to steady the camera. This has been a fun assignment and I learned a lot in my trial and errors. Except for 8x10 cropping, straight from camera.

But only with the difference that your image is so many light-years better. You managed to pull out that fantastic feel/mood by the simple elegant shape, the right light and color. Bravo, and a big shiny feather for your hat my friend (he, he)!
