By maureenyoung52 (2007-10-23 02:01:11 ): I would crop this almost to the top of her shoulder a leave just a small amount of tree also. I would also try to get a little more light on her face (this is purely personal preference) with either a fill flash or a reflector. I really like the pose and the expression, very creative, nice job overall maybe just try some different tecniques with lighting.

By Jim915 (2007-10-21 23:11:28 ): I need to add one more thing. I would also like to see more of her face. Her nose looks like it is flattened against the wood and it is cut off awkwardly. A turn of her head to the left and a tip back so that the complete nose shows and possibly a portion of her other eye would make a more satisfying image.
By Jim915 (2007-10-21 23:07:22 ): You idea for the composition is terrific and your light and tonal values are good. However, I would like to see more of the woman. The composition stresses the wood and, therefore, the woman looses significance in the frame and also the image. If you look at the crop you'll see how the woman becomes the subject of the image and she would have even greater impact if you had more of her back.
