Photographer's Comment: Early morning sun rising over the shattered top of Mt.St.Helens in Southwestern Washington State while fog makes a lake out of the Chehalis Valley. The volcano is still active and the last eruption was in the 1980's and the one that shattered and split the mountain's crown in two.
